Mom Throws 4-Year-Old the Mrs. Doubtfire-Themed Party of Our '90s Dreams
Dedicated Michigan mom, Laura Kowalski, recently threw her four-year-old son the Mrs. Doubtfire-themed birthday party of a lifetime (she had us at “Mrs. Doubtfire-themed birthday party” tbh), and we have a sneaking suspicion that it would bring a smile to the face of the man whose work inspired it, the late Robin Williams.
“My son saw the movie about six months ago and just loved it!” Kowalski told Huffpost of the iconic ‘90s film. “He thought it was very funny and who doesn’t love Robin Williams?” You speak the truth, Laura.
The party, which was held at Downriver Gymnastics in Southgate, spared nary a detail. Guests were treated to personalized gift bags, thematic illustrations, clever nods to the film (see “run-by-fruiting” fruit kabobs below), and an epic Mrs. Doubtfire cake from Cakes by Sweetypants.
It’s safe to say the birthday boy had a pretty amazing day.
As for mom, well, we know who to call when it comes time to plan our annual Good Will Hunting gala.
