When it comes to beauty advice, mama knows best! That's why we asked celebrities and designers to tell us the best piece of beauty advice their mothers ever passed down to them in honor of Mother's Day this Sunday. Scroll down to see what the moms of Chrissy Teigen, AnnaSophia Robb, and more had to share.

CHRISSY TEIGEN"'Don’t mess with your eyebrows. Or better yet, stop messing with your eyebrows!' But I loved it. They were a thin, thin rainbow. It was so terrible. I can’t believe they ever came back."

ANNASOPHIA ROBB"She taught me to put on or apply blush, which I think is important. Don’t do it in circles. She taught me the motion—follow your cheekbone."

TIA MOWRY"She always told me to wear my hair pulled back. As teenagers, you’re breaking out on your face and you’re in an awkward stage and you want to hide your face. You’ll see a lot of girls with bangs, but my mom said, 'Pull your hair back. Just show your beauty.'"

DESIGNER JENNY PACKHAM"My mom said if you ever feel down, buy some lipstick. And she always used to say this, and I just thought, 'What is she talking about?' But, basically, if you’re not feeling very happy, go and think about yourself, and do something to brighten yourself up. And that was a lovely bit of advice from her."

ELLIE KEMPER"It really was 'wash your face before you go to bed.' I don’t know how beauty conscious we were, but she’d say, 'You have to clean your face.' It’s not like I was a dirty person, but those are wise words. I mean, when you’re a kid, you just want to go to bed."
