And those were just a few of the things that sent fans and others straight to Google to get the scoop on the stars, Oscars fashion moments, movies, and more that had the biggest impact this year. Take a peek at some of the most Googled terms of 2016! For actors, Pitt, Tom Hiddleston, and Adam Driver were the most searched, with Pitt at the top of the list. Hiddleston more than likely jumped to the second spot the because of his whirlwind romance with Taylor Swift. Meanwhile, Girls star Driver's return to the Star Wars franchise was announced, he lost a ton of weight for Martin Scorsese's Silence, and also continued to keep fans captivated on his HBO series. As for actresses, Markle topped the list, followed by Marion Cotillard, who announced news of her pregnancy with her second child and starred in Allied with Pitt. Jodie Sweetin landed in the third spot as she returned to Fuller House, and opened up about some of the issues she had overcome after growing up on the show. Meanwhile, fashion-lovers headed to Google to take a peek at certain Oscar red carpet dresses again, with Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lawrence, and Charlize Theron's gowns topping the list. For movies, Suicide Squad ranked first, followed by Batman v Superman, and Finding Dory. Sci-fi Netflix hit Stranger Things was the most Googled TV show, followed by Making a Murderer, and Fuller House. In the music realm, Beyoncé scored the top spot among musicians, with the success of her Lemonade album and world tour. Celine Dion followed in second as she showed her strength after the death of her husband René Angélil, and Kesha came in third as she opened up about her battle with an eating disorder and struggles with mental health issues. "Formation" was the most Googled song, followed by Prince's "Purple Rain," and the mannequin-challenge sparking "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd.
