Modern Family’s Elizabeth Peña Dies at 55
Hollywood has lost one of its most talented and dynamic stars.
Elizabeth Peña, who has been working nonstop since the '80s, has died at age 55 from natural causes, her manager said. Known for having the ability to successfully shift from dramatic to comedic roles, the Cuban-American actress has starred in La Bamba, Jacob's Ladder, Lone Star, and on the small screen as Sofía Vergara’s mother on Modern Family.
The actress is survived by her husband, two children, mother, and sister. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
