Miss Piggy Reviews the Red Carpet Looks from the 2017 Fashion Awards
When it comes to matters of style, few fashion heavy-hitters are more opinionated, or more discerning, than Miss Piggy. The famously blunt Muppet is beloved for sharing her candid opinions on everything—and that extends to the red carpet. Which is precisely why she was handpicked to host a pre-show from the red carpet at the British Fashion Council's annual Fashion Awards last night at the Royal Albert Hall in London, alongside Derek Blasberg (last year's presenter was none other than Jean-Paul Gaultier).
Here, Miss Piggy enthusiastically shares her top five looks from the evening.
"Ruffles! So fun! So flashy! And on Kaia they look trés sexy. I look hot in ruffles too, but this is Kaia’s moment ... and she makes the most of it in this fashion-forward Ralph & Russo two-piece look. Blue dress, red carpet—works for moi!"
"Simply perfect! That's what you get when you put the lovely Zendaya in this fabulous Vivetta creation. (I want it! I want it! I want it!) It features animals, stars, and that favorite detail that makes her—and moi—shine brightly: Swarovski crystals!"
"That's Sam Smith with a smile of unbridled bliss upon seeing moi at the Fashion Awards. (What's not to smile about? I was wearing Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello bespoke with 10,000 Swarovski crystals.) And Sam looks pretty snazzy too, in an emerald Burberry tuxedo jacket that made him the best-dressed man of the evening."
"Can you say twinning'?! Amber obviously got her style inspiration from yours truly! Like moi, she radiates on the red carpet in a Saint Laurent Swarovski crystal dress, effortlessly accessorized with an Atelier Swarovski by Paul Andrew ring. Amber and moi together: Just call us the dazzling diva duo!"
"I was in awe when my dear friend and fellow fashion powerhouse Winnie appeared in this classic and chic look by up-and-coming designer Brandon Maxwell. And that fuzzy sweater! What a trés perfect way to look glamorous and stay warm all at the same time! (Note to self: Brandon simply must design for moi next.)"
