2016 is getting off to quite the start for Miley Cyrus! Only a few days after the news broke that her engagement to Liam Hemsworth was back on, the controversial pop star revealed that she was headed back to television. This time Cyrus will have a starring role in Woody Allen's upcoming Amazon series.

Deadline reports that the singer-actress, 23, and Hollywood veteran Elaine May act star alongside Allen in the miniseries, made up of six half-hour episodes, and the story will take place in the 1960s. Little else is known about the project, other than the fact that Allen will write and direct each episode.
