#FlashbackFriday: Mila Kunis to Produce a Show About Juicy Couture's Founders
Which came first, the chicken or the egg? While we still may not know the answer, we do know that before the popularity of all things athleisure came the beloved rise of the brightly colored Juicy Couture tracksuit. To make sure we never forget its presence in the lives of early 2000s stars (including Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Nicole Richie), Mila Kunis has teamed up with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the team behind Gossip Girl, to bring us Made in LA, a half-hour comedy about the brand’s origins, Deadline reports.
Based on Juicy Couture founders Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor’s memoir, The Glitter Plan, the piece will mainly focus on how the business turned into a global phenomenon. So can we expect it to be a hit? Schwartz and Savage’s Fake Empire production company is responsible for The Carrie Diaries, while Kunis’s own Orchard Farms Productions has released projects like The Russians Are Coming and Champion: The Jeff Beekman Story.
And while we’re still not sure of when Made in LA is set to drop, we do know exactly what we’ll wear to watch: a comfy tracksuit, of course.
