The actress is nominated for Best Actress in a Mini-Series for her role in Fosse/Verdon. She recently won the Emmy for the same category. Last week, People reported that Willams is engaged to Fosse/Verdon director Thomas Kail. She is also reportedly pregnant. Tonight the new couple made their red carpet debut — though, to be fair, they have walked carpets together before, as coworkers. This year, Williams wore a vibrant dress by Louis Vuitton (she is still the face of the brand). Her stylist, Kate Young, told InStyle about the look explaining, "The sort of exciting thing about it is the color combination. It’s an electric peach color, and it has a purple-ish blue flower on it. It’s an unusual color combination in a strong color." The jewelry was also an eclectic mix of pieces. "She’s wearing rings from Schlumberger by Tiffany. They’re colored, and I liked the idea of doing sort of bizarre color combinations to just offset the dress. But other than that, it’s pretty minimal," she said. When she won her first for her role in My Week with Marilyn, she wore a simple long-sleeved black dress and accessorized with a vintage looking headband. Perhaps her most memorable appearance, however, was in 2018 when Williams joined the #TimesUp protest on the red carpet wearing all black and attending the show with #MeToo founder Tarana Burke.
