Last Friday Michelle Obama hosted the third annual Kids State Dinner and donned a flowery Mary Katrantzou dress for the occasion. The First Lady welcomed more than 50 children, who earned their seat through a nationwide recipe contest, to lunch at the White House's East Room (where even President Barack Obama stopped by).

Michelle's light blue frock featured a pink-rose-and-trellis print and hailed from Greek designer Mary Katrantzou's 2014 resort collection, and the First Lady paired the piece with beige pumps. Michelle is not one to shy away from showing off her toned arms, but she accented her shoulders in a refreshing way with the dress's tiny sleeves. The small collar, navy belt detail, and flared hemline made this a standout ensemble. She has shown an affinity for wearing florals in the past (remember her black Tracy Reese dress with scarlet flowers and her blue and white Tanya Taylor design?), and this selection is right up there as one of her most flattering looks!
