Last night (May 3), the room for the 100th annual White House Correspondents' dinner (a.k.a. the nerd prom) may have been packed wall to wall with celebrities like Mindy Kaling, Taylor Schilling and Olivia Munn swathed in designer finery, but there was little question who shone the brightest of the evening.

Dressed in a Marchesa gray tulle gown with a dropped-shoulder portrait neckline -- a new cut for her-- Michelle Obama nearly glowed from her lofted stage perch. The dress, a sleeveless adaptation from Look 20 of the Marchesa Fall 2013 runway show that flaunted FLOTUS's famously toned arms, also featured a fitted waistline and a sprinkling of romantic silver floral embroidery on the bodice.

For those keeping tabs, it's not the first time Mrs. O favored Marchesa's draped looks for eveningwear. She wore a teal green strapless gown by the luxury label, featuring draped silk chiffon at the shoulders, to the Kennedy Center Honors last December.

This time around, the First Lady finished her glamorous Hollywood look with flipped waves, sparkling Cathy Waterman drop earrings and a ready laugh--quite the breeze as both President Obama and host Joe McHale delivered their share of one-liners.
