At Least One Part of Melania Trump's New Wax Figure Is Eerily Accurate

Melania Trump has officially gotten the wax figure treatment. In honor of her 48th birthday today, Madame Tussauds in New York City unveiled her wax figure, and while it's not a totally accurate likeness, there are few things that will definitely make you do a double-take.

As far as styling, Madame Tussaud's got it right. The First Lady's figure is dressed in a patriotic blue dress, which seems like something she might wear, and her hair is styled in her signature loose waves and a middle part. Apart from her clothes and hair, how she's posing is also spot on.

Melania often uses the fish gape pose when being photographed, and the wax figure reflects her preference. If you're unfamiliar with the pose its when the top and bottom lips are ever-so-slightly pursed and separated. It's popular among models and celebrities, as it's flattering and not distracting.

Another eerie accuracy? The body language between her wax figure and that of her husband Donald Trump's. Like in real life, their statues seem to be keeping their distance. No hand holding either, which as we've seen is something that the First Lady has tried to avoid in the past.

While it may be just a wax figure, she'll be able to talk too. Madame Tussaud's is going to give Melania a voice, and people can submit phrases that they think she'd say by tweeting #MTMelaniaMoments throughout May. We have a feeling there will be some pretty hilarious suggestions.
