InStyle's editorial guidelines Updated on April 29, 2020 Pin Share Tweet Email With the COVID-19 pandemic leaving the entire world at a standstill, everyone will have to practice social distancing for the foreseeable future. But despite the adjustments we've all had to make, people are still finding ways to connect and be of service to others, including none other than Meghan Markle. The Untold Story of Meghan Markle's Signature Hairstyle During a recent Zoom call for Smart Works, the former Suits actress offered a virtual coaching session to a patron of the charity, while also giving the rest of us hairstyle inspiration for the next time we have to leave our video on. For the chat, Markle's hair was styled half up, half down, complete with a center part — a versatile style that works across all hair types and textures. It's also a great option for anyone whose hair isn't cooperating when they either try to put it into a messy bun, or when it's left out. While there's no official word on whether Markle styled her own hair for the occasion, or has a live-in glam squad, with self-isolation rules in place, we're going to assume she created this look all on her own. Plus, it's one we can easily copy from home. What we do know for sure is that no matter what hairstyle she's wearing, Markle is fully committed to helping others through Smart Works. “It’s been such an honour [sic] to meet and learn from so many talented women in the Smart Works network over the years, and recently to see the amazing work they’re doing to adapt their programs to the reality of this pandemic," she said of the organization's initiatives in the Instagram post's caption. "Their ability to continue to empower women and help them harness the confidence they need to succeed during this time is inspiring."
