While the Internet was awash with royal wedding chatter on Saturday—from Kate Middleton’s not-so-subtle side-eye to Pippa’s iced tea-inspired sartorial choice—when it came to bride Meghan Markle’s pristine gown by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, the conversation took a particularly hilarious turn.

Fans were quick to compare the Duchess of Sussex’s dress to that of another iconic bride in modern history: Mary Fiore (aka Jennifer Lopez’s character in 2001 rom-com The Wedding Planner).

And OK, once you see it, it’s hard to disagree …

Although we wouldn’t go as far to suggest that it was actually Meghan’s intention to channel Lopez’s bridal look, it may have been a subconscious choice. I mean, Markle’s no stranger to rom-coms—she played  “Hot Girl” in A Lot Like Love, after all.
