Meghan Markle Just Had the Most Relatable Wardrobe Malfunction
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived at Tonga’s Fua’amotu Airport on Thursday looking like true royalty — the former in a belted cherry red Self Portrait midi dress, and the latter a beige suit.
In case you were beginning to fear that the Duchess of Sussex was too unattainably perfect, we have some proof that even she is prone to the occasional slip-up. I mean, barely, but we’ll take it.
As she and Harry stepped off their plane, the wind swept up the hem of Meghan’s gown, revealing — gasp — a pink tag.
OK, we’ll admit, this is hardly a Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl-level malfunction. Everyone forgets to remove a tag every now and then — me, Jennifer Aniston (the best of us, really). And as far as tags go, this was really the least inflammatory it possibly could be — no prices, no sizes. Can you imagine if Meghan stepped off a plane with one of those sticky plastic size strips pasted on her chest? Oy.
Anyway, this was Meghan’s second outfit of the day — she concluded her stay in Fiji in a teal shift dress — so we’ll forgive her a bit of sartorial imperfection. She certainly made up for it later that evening when she arrived at a formal reception in a white Theia gown (sans visible tags) and a ring previously worn by Princess Diana.
