“In New Zealand, we wear navy,” said Meghan Markle (probably). The Duchess of Sussex followed up a string of dark blue royal tour looks on Wednesday with a Givenchy top and two-tone pleated midi skirt for her final day abroad.

It’s unclear whether this was intentional, but when she’s photographed from the side you can see that the 37-year-old’s skirt is fully sheer. FULLY. Meghan’s a known risk-taker, sure, but even this feels a little edgy for the newest core member of the royal family.

This, of course, isn’t the first sartorial “controversy” of Meghan’s trip. From thigh-high slits to overlooked tags, the Duchess’s first royal tour was chock-full of envelope-pushing moments.

Markle paired her risqué skirt with a set of navy Manolo Blahnik pumps and her signature low bun. And although her look is likely a little too J. Lo at the Grammys for the tastes of other more conservative royal family members, you can’t deny the Duchess is on trend. Visible bodysuit? Visible underwear? It’s 2018 and we’re here for it.
