According to Marie Claire, the event honored the achievements of wounded servicemen and women and included a surprise engagement when one of the honorees proposed to his girlfriend. This year's Recognising Achievement Award went to Danny Holland, who was involved in an IED blast while in Afghanistan. When he took to the stage, he asked his girlfriend to come up. When she did, he popped the question and the couple was met with a round of applause. Holland managed to get Meghan to clutch her heart and smile. ITV's Chris Shipp managed to capture it all on video. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Made Their First Public Appearance Since Announcing Their Royal Shakeup The Recognising Achievement Award is "awarded to the individual who has best utilised their endeavour to promote and catalyse their recovery," according to the Endeavour Fund website. Marie Claire adds that they're expected to attend the Mountbatten Music Festival and Monday's Commonwealth Day Service. That will mark a public reunion between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, the queen, and Prince Charles.
