Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Frogmore Cottage Staff Are Being Reassigned

"In quiet periods staff are often redeployed elsewhere around the estate."

Now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are embroiled in their royal exit, it looks like things are changing significantly at their Frogmore Cottage residence.

According to CNN, a source has reported that members of the Duke and Duchess's staff are being "redeployed" elsewhere following their stepping back from their royal roles.

"In quiet periods staff are often redeployed elsewhere around the estate," the source reported. The statement came after the British media claimed on Friday (January 17) that Meghan and Harry had been letting members of their staff go in preparation for making a new home in Canada.

It isn't clear yet where the staff previously employed at Frogmore Cottage will be spending their time, but obviously they wouldn't need to hang around if Meghan and Harry aren't around.

"No members of staff have been let go," the source said. Now, even though the Sussexes will be splitting their time between the UK and Canada, they'll retain their cottage as their residence for when they return to the UK.

"Frogmore Cottage will continue to be the property of Her Majesty the Queen. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will continue to use Frogmore Cottage – with the permission of Her Majesty The Queen – as their official residence as they continue to support the Monarchy," according to their website, in addition to more information meant to help clarify the pair's new positions.

As the Sussexes ease further into their new roles, there are likely plenty of additional changes coming down the pipeline that they'll offer clarification on. It's going to be an interesting transition, but if you've been following this saga, you already knew that.
