Meghan Markle's got a baby on the way and a calendar packed full of royal events, but she only seems to be adding to her workload, not subtracting from it (seriously, how?). The Duchess of Sussex will get her first patronage from Queen Elizabeth this year, and reports are saying it'll tie into her pre-Prince Harry life.

Daily Mail reports that Markle has had private meetings with the director fo the National Theatre in a bid to become its patron, and according to their royal sources, Queen E is totally on board.

The outlet reports that Markle is set to take over as patron and the monarch is supportive because of her growing confidence in the duchess.

This new position has been rumored for weeks now, and should Markle be announced as patron, it will come with new responsibilities — including involvement with the American Associates of the National Theatre, a New York charity that supports the company.

With a background in acting, Markle taking over seems like a pretty natural move. Now all that's left to wonder is when exactly we'll hear about it officially. Tick tock, Kensington Palace.
