Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha, has done the unthinkable.

After months of publicly berating the duchess (or duchASS, as she cleverly nicknamed her), Samantha has seemingly made an attempt to bury the hatchet.

Samantha’s currently in London trying to see Meghan — who will surely be receptive to this reconciliation (JK!) — and is spending her downtime (i.e. when she’s not camped out in front of Buckingham Palace) dishing about Megs on national TV, as one does.

The elder Markle appeared on Jeremy Vine’s talk show on Monday to deliver a (very public) apology to Markle — which is also pretty low-key blame-y, believe it or not:

"I would just say that there is so much water under the bridge and so much has spun out of control that was never intended to," Samantha began. "And you know, I think everybody was hurt not being included or invited to the wedding, but I felt as though it could have all been nipped in the bud had everyone been included, and we all just agreed to move forward with positive resolve. The hurt feelings wouldn't have snowballed, but believe it or not, it doesn't mean that we love you any less, I just think that families can be this way when there's confusion and people are hurt. So moving forward, I apologize and wish things could be different."

Sounds nice, but take it with a healthy grain of salt, as just months ago Samantha blamed Meghan for their father’s death — he’s very much still alive, but she wanted to cover her bases, y’know?
