Meghan Markle Gave Autumnal Dressing a Winter Twist in Her First Appearance of the Year

The turtleneck envy is strong.

After a long (and much-needed) hibernation period, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back in the public eye. O, what a glorious day! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped out in London on Tuesday to thank Canada for hosting the bulk of their two-month-long escape.

Markle was all smiles on her first day back, greeting fans in a rather autumnal outfit comprised of a caramel-colored turtleneck, a brown satin Vince slip skirt, matching velvet pumps, and a classic camel coat. She wore her dark hair parted down the center in loose, thick waves. Prince Harry stood by her side in a navy suit with a pale blue tie.

The couple commenced their return to public duties with a visit to Canada House, where they met Janice Charette, High Commissioner to the U.K. and thanked her for the hospitality shown during their stay over the holidays. They also stopped by Hubb Community Kitchen, the site of one of Markle's royal causes, to wish workers a happy New Year.
