Years before meeting her prince and tying the knot in fairytale fashion, Meghan Markle was once married to film producer Trevor Engelson. And, just as the former actress has moved on from their two-year marriage, it appears Engelson is following suit.

On Friday, the 41-year-old proposed to his nutritionist girlfriend, Tracey Kurland, in Napa Valley—according to Mail on Sunday, as reported by People. He reportedly shared the news on Instagram (his account is set to private) with a photo of Kurland wearing the diamond engagement ring he picked out.

“Luckiest guy I know!” Engelson captioned the post. “Get ready to party.”

According to The Daily Mail, Engelson and Kurland have been dating for less than a year, with their romance taking off in November 2017, which is a far departure from his and Meghan's six-year courtship.

Engelson and Markle began seeing each other in 2004, before the talent agent popped the question in 2010. A year later, they wed in Ochos Rios, Jamaica, and in 2013, the former couple separated.

In a new book by Princess Diana's biographer, Andrew Morton, their separation was apparently "out of the blue" to Engelson. “Trevor went from cherishing Meghan to, as one friend observed, ‘feeling like he was a piece of something stuck to the bottom of her shoe," Morton wrote.

He continued: “A wealthy entrepreneur friend claimed the marriage ended so abruptly that Meghan sent her wedding and engagement rings back to Trevor by registered post. Another confirmed that the decision to end the marriage was made by Meghan and that it had come ‘totally out of the blue.’”

In September, Deadline reported that Engelson was producing a show that appeared to be inspired by Markle's new relationship with Prince Harry. "Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder. Sharing custody with the British Royal family when your wife marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London’s tabloid media, is next level,” a description reads.

No word yet on a date for Engelson and Kurland's wedding, but we will be staying tuned for more details!
