You’re already familiar with the LBD and the LWD, and now it’s time to meet their free-spirited cousin that's everywhere this spring: the little denim dress. “It’s the ultimate chill-out dress,” says street-style pro and TV personality Alexa Chung, whose recent collab with L.A. label AG Adriano Goldschmied includes several versions of her take on the laid-back look. And the whole point, says Chung, is not to dress them up: “No need to overdo it; it’s classic on its own.”

From Bottega Veneta to Gucci, the easygoing style also dominated spring runways. The beauty, of course, is in its versatility: Pair it with gladiator heels, as seen at Chloe, or keep it casual with a belt a la L’Agence. “The LDD is flirty enough for the weekend and smart enough to wear all season long,” says 3x1 founder Scott Morrison, who worked up his own fit-and-flare version this season. “We took a page from our 1950’s playbook, reinterpreting an adorable little chambray jump dress that’s flattering on all body types and can easily transition between day and night.” Go ahead and pick your perfect LDD below.
