Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are all about fashion, but they don't often show that through red carpet appearances. The actresses-turned-designers tend to let their creations do the talking for them, but on Thursday night, they decided to step into the spotlight themselves while paying homage to the many twin looks they've worn throughout the years.

In a grown-up and sophisticated twist, the sisters wore matching coordinated looks that are a far cry from their Passport to Paris costume days.

Mary-Kate went for beiges (similar skirt here), while Ashley opted for navy blue (similar turtleneck here). While both sisters typically prefer these sort of muted colors, they take more of a risk with their accessories, particularly Mary-Kate, who wore green earrings with a matching bracelet.

Even though seeing the sisters on the red carpet is a rarity—and seeing them outright match is even rarer—they really aren't newbies to the red carpet scene. They spent years going to premieres when they were acting, and they still stay busy running two fashion labels that dress celebrities, The Row and Elizabeth and James.

That said, it's still nice to see an Olsen twinning moment on the red carpet once again.
