Mandy Moore recently got engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith. So when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday alongside her This Is Us cast members Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown, the talk show host just had to ask: How does her TV family feel about the new addition?
Luckily, according to Moore, they get along just dandy. “He’s met the whole cast. Everybody’s very close. Everyone’s significant others and what not—we’re like one big family. We really are. As cheesy and gross as that sounds, we all really love each other,” she said.
As for Ventimiglia, he does have one grievance: “I didn’t get asked for her hand in marriage as the TV husband, but at the same time, I was OK with it. It was fine,” he joked.
“Taylor is, he’s the kindest soul. And Mandy, you know, she is the most beautiful of human beings, so the two of them coming together, it’s right and it’s good. We’re all very happy for her,” he added. Aww.
The stars also dished about what we have in store for Season 2, including whether we’ll see Jack Pearson’s bare butt once more. While Ventimiglia stayed mum on the subject, Brown quickly chimed in, and he feels the same way you do.
“I know you’ve been doing squats and I’ve been trying to keep up, because it sits high,” he joked. “I want to see more too.”
Same, Sterling. Same.
