Does former First Daughter Malia Obama have a career in the music industry ahead of her?

The 20-year-old is typically low-key when it comes to public appearances — as in she doesn’t really make them, at least not since her father left office. Though she’s a household name across the country, Malia’s famous parents have long-striven to provide a relatively normal childhood for her and her younger sister, Sasha.

Currently a student at Barack and Michelle’s alma mater, Harvard, it seems the former President and First Lady’s eldest is getting the typical college experience — you know … dorm life, secret service details, viral music video appearances … the usual.

Malia’s latest endeavor in the public eye comes in the form of a music video from Boston-based band The New Dakotas. Obama dances, lip syncs, and pretends to play harmonica in “Walking on Air,” all while clad in the delightfully familiar east coast collegiate uniform: beanie, earth toned oversize sweater.
