Madonna’s trip to Africa is for a noble educational cause, so why not use the traveling experience to offer her kids a lesson in giving back to others? That’s precisely what the 57-year-old pop star is doing, bringing son Rocco Ritchie, 15, and daughter Mercy James, 10, along for the ride.

On Thursday, the singer once again took to Instagram with another colorful glimpse at what she’s up to on the beautiful continent. She posted an image of herself (above) spending time with the children of the Home of Hope Orphanage in Mchinji, Malawi, which is near the Zambian border. And while the photograph is motivating in and of itself, the mother of four also shared rare pictures of Ritchie and James meeting the children from the orphanage.

The pre-teen beauty gleamed as she wore a white tee and made “new friends” while Rocco walked with three local children.

Earlier this week, Madonna spent time in Kenya, where she not only met with the country’s First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta, but also helped to raise awareness about maternal health and the education of girls.
