The internet blew up last night when fashion darling Lupita Nyong'o took the stage at the Golden Globes last night to present the Best Foreign Language Film award with Colin Farrell. But fans did not just flip out about her purple Giambattisa Valli couture dress—they fawned over her geek-chic oversize square glasses.

In fact there was so much buzz about her fabulous spectacles that someone started a Twitter account called, you guessed it, Lupita's Glasses (as of right now it has 63 followers). Most of the comments praised the fact that the Academy Award–winning actress opted for glasses over contacts or struggling with reading the teleprompter (which we have seen happen many times). She worse those glasses loudly and proudly!

This isn't the first time Nyong'o has rocked some eyewear on stage as she was seen sporting glasses when she accepted an MTV Movie Award last spring; she opted for a different pair by Chanel that time.

Nyong'o had a big 2014, with several award nominations for her work in 12 Years a Slave. She lost the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress to Jennifer Lawrence, but won the Academy Award. She also clearly established herself as a force in fashion with her many memorable red carpet looks. She told InStyle last year, "I didn’t pay attention to fashion until now. I’m having fun discovering designers who make things that express who I am.” Here's hoping her momentum continues through 2015!
