Lucy Hale Says Aria Is Still Getting Married on Pretty Little Liars
This summer’s finale of Pretty Little Liars ended with Aria and Ezra’s engagement seemingly hanging by a thread. First, Aria admitted to her fiancé that she had deleted a call from his presumed-dead ex-girlfriend, Nicole, on his phone. While he eventually forgave her, tensions were still high between the two.
Then, in true PLL fashion, Nicole "rises from the dead" and is found alive, years after she was captured by revolutionaries while volunteering in South America. Aria watches on TV as her fiancé embraces his long-lost girlfriend.
So what does this all mean for Ezria’s relationship? Spoiler alert: According to Lucy Hale, who plays Aria, the engagement is still on. The actress confirmed that “there’s a wedding” for her character in the last 10 episodes of the show. “Aria’s getting married,” Hale told InStyle. "I’m honestly just really curious to see what wedding dress she chooses."
This may seem like a revolutionary reveal but, based on the PLL stars' track records, we’re taking the information with a grain of salt. Last month—prior to the reveal that Nicole would be found alive in the summer finale—Ezra's Ian Harding told The Hollywood Reporter that his believed-to-be-dead ex would do “nothing to get in the way of Aria and Ezra.”
"We’re going to get some closure," he said. "He was really devastated when she basically passed away and we’ve seen some closure." However, Nicole's unexpected resurrection ultimately drove a wedge between the engaged pair.

Hale also revealed what she’s most looking forward to as Pretty Little Liars ends its seven-year run. “We’re done filming in about a month and a half. We have just a couple more episodes to go. I’m just really excited for everyone to see the ending that we have, because I recently found out who A.D. was, and it’s really good. It’s really good, and I think people are really going to be satisfied with it,” she told us.
April can’t come soon enough.
