2017 might have been the year of Bronde, but things are about to drastically change. If you want to be the first in your group to debut 2018’s hottest hair color trend, get ready to go smokey gray.

That’s one of the two hair colors that L’Oréal Paris is dubbing the "Hair Color of the Year." The other shade might be your excuse to find out if blondes really do have more fun, because based off of research, the brand claims Rose Blonde will continue to rank. Think of it like the Pantone color of the year you use to inspire your apartment decorating, except this is for your mane.

According to the brand, the colors were selected by color designers after months of researching and analyzing hair color trends and data, as well as traveling the world and consulting the fashion, art, and music industries.

With the announcement, the brand also debuted two of its new at-home box kit product collections, conveniently allowing you the master the trending look at home—the Superior Preference Rose Blonde ($38 for two kits; and Feria Glam Grunge.

And with that, it sounds like we're going to see a lot more people rocking Kim Kardashian West's current look.
