The usual awards show season may have wrapped months ago, but Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o isn't slacking in the style department.

Fashion's latest darling lit up the MTV Movie Awards red carpet in a Chanel high-collared dress with paillette-encrusted cap sleeves straight from the Fall 2014 runway. Never the shy wallflower, Nyong'o wore the multi-colored design with aplomb, pairing it with electric blue pointy pumps and glittering double cube earrings by Vita Fede.

As if Lancome's latest campaign star hasn't convinced you of her fashion chops, she took to the stage as presenter wearing a pair of nerd-chic black frames-- perhaps just the quirky note (along with her pitch perfect beauty choices) to cap off the high-fashion look.

And speaking of the actress's beauty hits, add this standout smoky eye to her best repertoire. We got the details from Nyong'o's makeup artist Nick Barose, who went daringly bold by opting for a vivid pink lip and high-shine inky shadow. "We went for sparkly, disco-inspired eyes," he says.

To get the look, after setting a flawless canvas with Lancome's Teint Idole in 550 Suede ($46; lancome-usa.com), he created a faint flush with a sweep of Blush Subtil in Shimmer Tamarind ($30; lancome-usa.com). Barose then drew on the graphic winged-out eye with Lancome's Artliner 24H in Black Diamond ($31; lancome-usa.com) and layered Color Design Infinite in Unlimited Silver with Color Design Shadow in All that Glitters ($25 and $20; lancome-usa.com), blending into the star's inner corners. To finish, Barose defined her lips with the Le Lipstique pencil in Sheer Chocolate ($25; lancome-usa.com), and followed with the L'Absolu Rouge lipstick in Saffron Silk ($30; lancome-usa.com).
