As the new brand ambassador and creative contributor to Belstaff, the 38-year-old actress and mother of two (who’s expecting her third!) welcomed motorcycle jacket-clad guests into a pop-up store for the brand in New York City’s Soho neighborhood Wednesday night. “It’s always been sort of a classic, go-to, kind of slightly masculine brand that I’ve always really liked,” she told InStyle of her new gig. Don’t think her borrowed-from-the-boys approach to style is blocking her femininity. For Tyler, women like Amelia Earhart (who she channels in a film she stars in and produced for the brand, below) and those closest to her always motivate her. “I think of the women that are around me, like my grandmother and my mother, and the people that I have learned from on a daily basis,” she said of the ladies who she looks up to. “I’m inspired by all women.” Liv Tyler Is Pregnant with Baby No. 3! Despite her own humility (“I’m not so impressed with my maternity style in the past few months,” she added), Tyler has amped up her looks since announcing she’s once again pregnant. So what’s her secret to killing it for the cameras? “I generally try to find the pieces in my wardrobe that I could stretch out for as long as possible, like a great men’s button-down shirt in a big size,” she suggested. Prepare to take notes ‘cause the advice doesn’t stop there. “Even if I want to just wear sweatpants or a sweatshirt—I went to James Perse the other day and got, like, a large men’s sweatshirt and it looks great. Or I’ll just wear black tights and boots, and sort of an oversized shirtdress,” she said. “I hate when I have to fit into jeans with the elastic. But when sometimes you want to be able to throw on a pair of jeans and it feels really good that they make them possible, then you can do that. When you’re wearing them, it’s not the sexiest thing in the world.” PHOTOS: Liv Tyler's Changing Looks Watch Tyler’s new film for Belstaff above—and expect more head-turning maternity looks from the beauty, stat.
