The wait is officially over. Lindsay Lohan just made the major announcement that we've all been waiting for. The Parent Trap star confirmed on Monday that she is indeed working on her next big movie titled The Shadow Within.
The 29-year-old broke the good news to her 4 million Instagram followers by uploading not one, but two selfies (below). In the caption, Lohan revealed, "My first day on my new film!!!!" Fans were more than excited to here the that she's making a comeback. Lohan's last movies included 2013's The Canyons and Lifetime TV's Liz & Dick. The star didn't stop there with her surprising announcement. She went on to write, "Will be sending a sneak peak of my character this week."

All of the details on her new flick haven't been confirmed yet, but from the title, it sounds like it may be a thriller. Either way, we certainly can't wait to learn more about her latest role. Here's to Lohan's triumphant comeback.
