Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Reportedly Broke Up

Riverdale co-stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse have reportedly broken up. Sources close to the couple state that they split before the coronavirus pandemic and have been quarantining separately, though neither one has offered a public statement on the state of their romance — though that isn't something that they've done in the past.

A source told Page Six, "Cole and Lili split before the pandemic hit, and have been quarantining separately. They remain good friends."

The new report comes after fellow Riverdale actor Skeet Ulrich and his girlfriend, Megan Blake Irwin, suggested that the two had separated.

During an Instagram Live session, a viewer asked, "Do you think that Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are a cute couple?"

"I think they were a very cute couple," Ulrich said.

Then, Irwin added, "They were a very cute couple," emphasizing "were." "They’re both beautiful people."

This wouldn't be the first time that the two have endured rumors of a breakup. Back in July 2019, after news of a breakup started to make the rounds, Reinhart tweeted, "Don't believe everything you read on the internet, kids. And news sources should try a little harder to be less vile. 'Reliable sources' can kiss my ass."

Later, in April 2020, there were rumors about Sprouse cheating on Reinhart with model Kaia Gerber. Sprouse shot down that speculation, though there's no response from him on the newest batch of rumors.

"When I first stepped into a public relationship this was one of the foreseeable consequences," he wrote in an Instagram Story. "And while I truly never intended to indulge any part of my private life to the ravenous horde, it’s clear my restraint in updating them has allowed them to push their own agenda onto my habits and lifestyle."
