Lea Michele’s grandmother passed away this week, and she’s honoring her memory in the sweetest way. The Scream Queens star took to Instagram to show off some new ink to honor her beloved relative.

“I lost my beautiful grandma this week. She wasn’t your typical grandma,” she wrote. “She gave me my first cup of coffee when I was 8 years old. She said something inappropriate to every boyfriend I’ve ever had. She never made pie or knit me a sweater. But she was my grandma and I loved her… More than anything. I love you Grandma.”

In the photo, Michele shows off a tattoo of the tiniest cup of coffee on her ring finger:

Her late grandmother isn’t the only loved one she’s honoring with a new tattoo. Michele also got one in remembrance of Cory Monteith, her former Glee co-star and boyfriend who passed away in 2013 at 31.

She posted a photo of a small number five inked on her skin—that was the jersey number Monteith wore as a football player on the Fox show. “And one more. For my Quarterback,” she captioned the heart-wrenching post.

Michele has endured her share of tragedy and it seems she’s only coming out stronger.
