His co-star and girlfriend at the time, Lea Michele, took to social media to celebrate his life and grieve his untimely passing. "We may not have gotten to share a lifetime together... But the memories... they're the best of my life," Michele, 29, captioned an Instagram photo of Monteith walking along a rocky shoreline towards the ocean. "Love you, Cory," she added with a heart emoji. Michele shared the same image on Twitter, alongside a different message to her departed love. "I know every day you're watching over me, and smiling," she wrote. "Love and miss you Cory, every day, but today a little more..." Other Glee cast members also shared heartfelt messages to Monteith on social media. "The minutes become days, and the days become years...but you always remain so close. I miss you, Brother," Matthew Morrison tweeted with photo of himself and Monteith on set.
