Wednesday marked the three-year anniversary of beloved Glee star Cory Monteith's death. His co-star and girlfriend at the time, Lea Michele, took to social media to celebrate his life and grieve his untimely passing.

"We may not have gotten to share a lifetime together... But the memories... they're the best of my life," Michele, 29, captioned an Instagram photo of Monteith walking along a rocky shoreline towards the ocean. "Love you, Cory," she added with a heart emoji.

Michele shared the same image on Twitter, alongside a different message to her departed love. "I know every day you're watching over me, and smiling," she wrote. "Love and miss you Cory, every day, but today a little more..."

Other Glee cast members also shared heartfelt messages to Monteith on social media.

"The minutes become days, and the days become years...but you always remain so close. I miss you, Brother," Matthew Morrison tweeted with photo of himself and Monteith on set.

"One of the sweetest, most generous humans I've ever met," Dianna Agron captioned a photo on Instagram of herself touching Monteith's nose. "You made me laugh harder than anyone and there was never a moment you weren't doing something to put a smile on our faces. I miss you."

"Today I woke up thinking abt ur smile & how infectious it was. U made us laugh & feel loved evryday. #3YearsWithoutCory" Kevin McHale wrote on Twitter alongside a gif of himself and Monteith goofing around in a photobooth.
