The actress and former Glee star has empowering words for young women who want to tackle their personal and professional goals with bravado. “For me personally, what I’ve learned now and what I’ve learned before, and what I continue to learn now, is just to be true to yourself,” she tells InStyle. Michele, who’s recently teamed up with #ActuallySheCan to continue motivating women, doesn’t let naysayers get in her way. “I feel like you can never go wrong if you just stick true to who you are. There’s always so many voices coming our way and so many opinions and things like that,” she adds. “To just be confident in who you are, in your skin, I think is just the best way and is how I’ve reached a lot of my success. So that’s just what I like to share with people. That is what worked for me, and I think could work for you.” And while the Scream Queens beauty is confidently independent, she does turn to a select group of people for support. “I find that no matter what, to surround yourself by family is always the best thing,” she says. “I have the greatest, largest Italian family in the entire world. So no matter what’s going on, their loud voices and the food that they’re stuffing in my face is always, for me personally, the best remedy.” Is Harry Styles Set to Star in Scream Queens?
