Is This the Latest Star Trend? Anne Hathaway Copies Emma Stone by Covering Her Face for a Good Cause

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are so cool that other Hollywood couples are following their lead! Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman took a page straight from Stone and Garfield’s altruistic playbook over the holiday weekend, and used their fame to bring attention to several worthy causes. Hathaway and Shulman followed in The Amazing Spider-Man couple's footsteps by holding up signs in order to draw attention to their favorite charities as they were photographed by the paparazzi in New York City (above).

"Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield had a great idea!" Hathaway's makeshift cardboard sign read, before advising everyone to check out girleffect.org, feedingamerica.org, and worldofchildren.org—all nonprofit organizations the actress supports. "Happy 4th of July!!" read Shulman's. The duo held the handwritten messages in front of their faces as the cameras snapped away.

Last month, Stone and Garfield used the same tactic to deal with a group of photographers in New York City last month (the duo has done it several times previously), giving a shout-out to several of their favorite organizations (below). "Good morning! We were eating and saw a group of guys with cameras outside. And so we thought, let's try this again. We don't need the attention, but these wonderful organizations do," read Stone's sign with an arrow pointing to Garfield's, which listed youthmentoring.org, autismspeaks.org, wwo.org, and gildasclubnyc.org as charities to donate to.
