Get acquainted with Lano, because we have a feeling you'll be hearing a lot of buzz surrounding the Aussie import very soon—considering the cult-like following the brand has back in Australia, we're sure American beauty buffs will be just as obsessed. Inside each of the almost-too-cute-to-use tubes, you'll find the most nourishing body balms, lip treatments, and hand creams ever, which are all infused with the brand's hero ingredient of lanolin with a side of natural oils and butters.

"The inspiration is a culmination of everything that's happened in my life so far—my childhood on my grandparents' sheep farm, surrounded by healthy farm life, and the smell of wool and lanolin," says brand founder Kirsten Carriol. "My genetics professor father would always tell me that the molecular structure of lanolin is almost identical to human skin oils. I'm inspired by lanolin and re-molding this perfect ingredient into magical lotions and potions to cure dry lips and skin naturally." You can consider the battle against the dry winter weather's aftermath on your skin officially over.

Lanolin is a natural oil that comes from freshly-shorn sheep wool. Don't fret—extracting the ingredient doesn't harm the sheep in any way. The wool is washed in hot water in a special detergent that removes anything stuck to the fibers, and after being spun in a centrifuge to separate it out, a waxy, super-concentrated amount of lanolin is the end result. "Our super-duper high concentration of lanolin, from 50 percent to 100 percent, is what makes our brand unique, and the lanolin we use is the world's highest quality," Carriol adds. "It isn't found in any other product in the world."

Each of the products literally melts into your skin, leaving behind an incredibly smooth, moisturized feeling, which pairs well with that floral dress you've been eager to break out for spring. Not surprisingly, the response to Lano in America has been pretty great so far. "You gorgeous Americans seem really curious and open to learning and understanding lanolin, and why I think it's the world's best natural moisturizer," she says. "We sold out within a week on Net-a-Porter, so the reaction has been really amazing!"
