This marks the first ever designer collaboration for Lane Bryant, and its an exciting one! If you'll recall, Isabel is the woman behind Michelle Obama's 2009 inauguration outfit, and she has worn the brand on multiple occasions since. The first items from the partnership — a t-shirt and tote bag featuring Ruben Toledo’s signature sketches — will be in stores for the holidays, with a full collection of ready-to-wear, outerwear and accessories set to launch in the spring at Lane Bryant stores and on lanebryant.com. To celebrate the collaboration, the brand will hold a fashion show in the spring featuring pieces from the line, making it even more exciting. The designers were inspired to participate in the partnership because of the store's diverse and inspiring audience, and their want to tread a path where no other high-fashion brand has gone before. For a pair that usually avoids mainstream fashion, the Toledos are certainly taking on a new challenge. This will be a fun partnership to watch!
