We all say we want to live a greener lifestyle, but with a busy schedule it’s easy to make excuses for not living more environmentally friendly. Making eco-friendly choices doesn’t have to be hard: Just take inspiration from Lake Bell, whose tips are easy to adopt for Earth Day and beyond.

“Every product that I use—especially with the baby in the house—from diapers to glass cleaner, is now eco-friendly,” the In A World... actress told InStyle. “I do it not only for the environment but to save my lungs and my baby’s lungs.”

The new mom is also an avid recycler, and while it may seem small, it can make a huge impact on the earth, since a reported 88 percent of plastic water bottles are not recycled and instead pile up in landfills. “I collect every jar I ever use,” she said. “If you finish the mustard I say ‘Oh that’s a good jar! Keep that jar!’”
