We're only 14 days into 2016, but it's already shaping up to be a major year for Lady Gaga. On Sunday, the singer-turned-actress won her first Golden Globe for her role as The Countess on American Horror Story: Hotel, and now there's another award on her horizon: an Oscar. Lady Gaga and Diane Warren's song "Til It Happens To You" from the motion picture Hunting Ground was nominated for the Best Original Song Academy Award this morning (see the full list of nominees here), and Mother Monster is beyond thrilled.

"This nomination lends a voice to victims & survivors all over the world. Thank you to THE ACADEMY for recognizing the movement of people who have come together for this film & song in the name of sexual assault. Myself and Diane are simply honored to represent the voices of so many SURVIVORS," Lady Gaga wrote in an Instagram post.

If "Til It Happens To You" takes home the Oscar, Lady Gaga will be halfway to winning the Holy Grail of all award show accomplishments, the EGOT. So far, she has six Grammy Awards. Add in the potential Oscar, and she'll only need an Emmy and a Tony to complete the major accomplishment, something that doesn't seem far off considering the year she's already having.
