Lady Gaga Goes for Sleek, Black Perfection to Celebrate Tony Bennett's 90th Birthday
Lady Gaga went black tie with a twist as she celebrated Tony Bennett's 90th birthday.
Mother Monster was dressed to the nines as she headed to the iconic jazz singer's birthday bash, stepping out of her New York City hotel in a sleek black gown complete with cut-out velvet, criss-crossed straps in the back of it. Gaga flashed her usual regal smize as she walked towards her escorted car with a bouquet of colorful calla lilies in her hand, completing her look with her blonde locks tucked under a black top hat and small silver hoop earrings.
Once she arrived at the fête, Gaga gave Bennett a big hug—and the bouquet—before they walked inside of the Empire State Building together hand in hand. The duo became close friends while they collaborated on their album Cheek to Cheek in 2014.
"I am so honored to be by Tony's side on his 90th birthday," the "Bad Romance" singer captioned a photo of herself planting a kiss on Bennett's cheek at the bash. "Today we lit up the Empire State Building together, in the colors of the Italian Flag to commemorate Bennett's legacy as the greatest living legend & example of the Italian American Dream. We love you 'Ton' Happy Birthday! 90 is the new 20!"
