Following months of rumors, Mother Monster will officially star in the Warner Bros. remake of A Star Is Born alongside Bradley Cooper, according to Entertainment Weekly. In addition to headlining the drama flick, the American Horror Story: Hotel actress will also reportedly write and perform new music for the film. A Star Is Born centers on a troubled movie actor and the aspiring actress he helped find fame. Fredric March and Janet Gaynor played the original starring roles in 1937, and the movie was made twice after that, with Judy Garland and James Mason leading the 1954 version, and Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson last playing the characters in the 1976 reboot. Lady Gaga Teases Her American Horror Story Season 6 Character from Set The role marks the biggest acting part yet for the "Bad Romance" songstress, who won a Golden Globe earlier this year for her performance as the bloodsucking Countess in AHS. Gaga has yet to release a statement about the opportunity, but shared the news with fans via an Instagram post Tuesday.
