Why You Won't See Kylie Jenner's Daughter Stormi Anytime Soon
Keeping up with Kylie Jenner and her 4-month-old daughter Stormi just got a little more difficult. The reality star seems to be changing her tune in regards to how often she shares pictures of her baby's face, which has culminated in a mass-deletion of Instagram photos.
Jenner went back and erased all photos that show Stormi's face on social media, and she addressed why in a comment to a fan asking about why she "cut her baby out" of the shots.
“Yeah I cut my baby out," she said, according to E! News. "I’m not sharing photos of my girl right now."
Before this point, Jenner was pretty gung ho about showing her daughter off to the world, but even though we don't know the specifics about what sparked her change of heart, the move isn't all that astonishing. After all, her entire pregnancy was kept under wraps until Stormi's birth, so putting up some life-social media boundaries isn't out of Jenner's wheelhouse.
When Stormi was born, she explained the method to her secrecy in a lengthy Instagram post.
"I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you're used to me bringing you along on all my journey," she wrote. "[M]y pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how. there was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal i had planned. I knew my baby would feel ever stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness."
She added that "pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I've had in my entire life and I'm actually going to miss it" and thanked her friends and family for their support in keeping her little secret.
She's hardly the only celebrity parent who draws a firm line between the personal and the public. She's in good company: Kerry Washington, Donald Glover, Adele, Sandra Bullock, Janet Jackson, Matt Damon, Natalie Portman, and Julia Roberts tend to keep their children away from the limelight.
Not a bad call.
