Kylie Jenner Donates Almost $160,000 from Her “Smile” Lip Kit Sales to Fund Children’s Cleft Surgeries
Kylie Jenner’s lip kits aren’t just making you look bomb—they’re also helping hundreds of young girls and boys around the world have the confidence to put a smile on.
Earlier in October, Jenner announced a new lip kit color called, “Smile,” a pretty pink shade. The proceeds would go straight to the non-profit organization Smile Train, which funds cleft surgeries for children around the world. “I will be presenting a check to them personally. Let’s do this,” she wrote on Instagram.
The 19-year-old stuck to her word, and on Wednesday, the Smile Train Ambassador presented a check for $159,500 to the organization’s CEO, Susannah Schaefer. The money will fund cleft lip and palate surgeries for 638 deserving children.
“Through my company Kylie Cosmetics, I was able to create a beautiful pink lip kit shade called Smile specifically for Smile Train. I couldn’t be happier that 100% of the net proceeds are going straight to Smile Train to help kids around the world get the surgery they need to help them have beautiful smiles and the opportunity to live healthy, happy lives,” Jenner said.
“It’s really important to me to present this check to Susannah today, knowing that 638 cleft children will now have the chance to thrive. It’s an honor to be part of changing so many children’s futures,” she said. “I’m excited to continue my relationship with Smile Train and see the difference we make together.”

The reality star also met with 6-year-old Zachary, a patient who received a free cleft surgery thanks to Smile Train at a partner hospital in Ethiopia. He is just one of an estimated 170,000 children in developing countries born each year with cleft lips and/or palates, who have difficulty eating, breathing, and speaking.
“Similar to when I launched my #IAmMoreThan campaign, I wanted to use my social media platforms to help inform my fans about clefts and raise money to give these young kids the surgeries they need to get the smiles they deserve,” Jenner said. “I think a person’s smile tells so much about them. One person’s smile can change someone else’s day.”
This charitable star certainly just made our day.
