Now that the hoopla surrounding the royal wedding is officially starting to dwindle, it's time to gear up for another celebrity couple's highly-anticipated nuptials.
Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are due to tie the knot very soon. In fact, their wedding day is mere weeks away, according to the BBC. On June 23, the couple will say "I do" in Scotland, possibly at a castle, which will add the appropriate amount of whimsy to their fairytale romance.
"A 23 June date has been posted at the Huntly registration office in Aberdeenshire. The actress's father, councillor Seb Leslie, owns a castle in his West Garioch constituency," reports the publication.
In September 2017, a source close to the happy couple confirmed their engagement to People, with the duo—who met on the set of Game of Thrones in 2011—officially announcing the news via U.K.'s The Times under the "forthcoming marriages" section.
“The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” the post read.
A month later, Harington revealed the details behind the sweet proposal. "I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early," he said jokingly on the Jonathan Ross Show.
In milder language, he corrected himself. "I was meant to do it the day after with the lights," he explained. "What I meant to say was, I popped my question a bit early." It's ok Kit, less-than-perfect moments like those will make for a memorable wedding day.
