Paris Fashion Week took an unexpected turn for the worse for Kim Kardashian West early Monday morning. After attending Balenciaga's runway show and dinner with sister Kourtney Kardashian on Sunday, the 35-year-old reality star was reportedly held up at gunpoint by masked men dressed as police officers in her Paris hotel room.

According to Reuters, a police source said that the intruders pilfered a ring worth about 4 million euros ($5 million) and jewels and worth approximately 5 to 6 million euros ($5.6 to $6.7 million).

"She is badly shaken but physically unharmed," her rep told People, who also confirmed that neither of Kardashian West's two young children (3-year-old North and 1-year old Saint) were involved in the incident.

Stateside, her husband Kanye West was in the middle of his set at Meadows Music & Arts Festival in New York City when he heard about his wife's troubles abroad. He abruptly stopped his performance of "Heartless" and told fans "Sorry, family emergency. I have to stop the show."

Shortly after a festival rep came on stage to announce that the rapper's set was canceled and that West was no longer on site. "Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set. We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close out the inaugural Meadows Festival," the festival said in a statement.

Reuters reports that Kardashian West left the country via private jet after speaking to investigators.
