Times are hard; times are strange; times are rife with crustaceans walking in the streets.

Last night, Kim Kardashian spotted a lobster on her street in Calabasas, and in the era of “pic or it didn’t happen,” she had the good sense to take a video. “Just confused how a lobster is walking on my street in Calabasas! What is happening?!?!?!” She captioned the four-second clip of a seemingly shell-shocked (sorry) lobster just standing in the street.

Within the hour, the “Calabasas Lobster” had its own Twitter account.

He's already dealing with ignorance.

The Calabasas Lobster didn’t enlighten his fans as to how he found his way into the street, nor did he explain where he takes up permanent residence. The lobster in question has yet to return InStyle’s request for comment. But let’s be real, if the end times include sea creatures roaming residential neighborhoods, the lobsters would be taking to the streets in a city with a median annual income of $120,000. Just crosswalk-using clams over here in Brooklyn.
