Kanye West Was Distracted by Connect 4 During Daughter Chicago's Birth

When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their youngest daughter Chicago via surrogate earlier this year, Kanye was a little distracted. Kardashian spoke to Ellen DeGeneres in an interview airing Monday about having Chicago, and she admitted that as the family's surrogate gave birth to her, Kim and Kourtney were right there—but Kanye was not.

"I made Kourtney be in the room—we had a connecting room, and [Kanye] was in there playing Connect 4 with his friends and not really paying attention," Kardashian said. "And I was like, ‘Kourtney, I need you to be here with me.’”

“Did he stop playing Connect 4 at some point?” Ellen asked later on.

“It’s his favorite game. He’s the best at it. I’m so bad at it,” Kim answered.

Even so, the family seemed excited about Chicago's arrival. Also excited? Her siblings—even her big sis North, who doesn't always get along with the younger members of her family.

"She's better than she was with Saint," Kardashian said. "I mean, there was a shocking moment yesterday. She literally had a can of popcorn and was like, ‘Saint, do you want some?’ And I was like ‘What!?’ You gotta understand, she does not share with Saint, she does not hardly talk to Saint, so that was such a big moment in my household.”

As far as Saint goes, it sounds like he sure likes being a big brother.

“He’s nicer than North, I will say that. He loves his little sister," Kardashian said. "He’s so sweet with her. I always have to watch out for him—he smothers her, and he has this really big hair so he just jumps in her crib.”
