A third pregnancy may not be in the cards for Kim Kardashian West. On Sunday's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the 36-year-old revealed that although she wants desperately to have another child, her previous health complications have her worried. "Obviously I do want to have my own baby, but I feel like I truly don't know if my body can handle it one more time," she told her older sister Kourtney.
To learn more about the potential health risks that could result from a third pregnancy, Kim and her mom Kris consulted with two doctors.
"You never know if you might have the same type of problem that could be more serious this time," her ob-gyn warned her. "You're always taking a little bit of a chance. There are situations where retained placenta could be life or death."
"You could bleed to death," Kris added.
The second doctor, a fertility specialist, agreed and advised the reality star to consider using a surrogate—an option she hadn't considered before. "If the two doctors, that I trust, have told me it wouldn't be safe for me to get pregnant again, I have to listen to that," Kim said during her interview.

Later in the episode Kim met with a mother who had used a surrogate to assuage her fears. "My bond with my kids is so strong," she told the woman. "I think my biggest fear is that if I had a surrogate is, would I love them the same? That's the main thing I keep thinking about." But she assured her that won't be an issue.
At the end of the show Kim hadn't made up her mind about surrogacy, she is sure of one thing: She will not risk a third pregnancy.
